What scaffold net does your construction site require?

Light scaffold nets, finely knitted scaffold nets, woven scaffold nets, printed scaffold nets, windproof and watertight scaffold tarpaulins … The list goes on and on. There are countless types of scaffold nets and tarpaulins that protect construction sites and their surroundings from dust, weather conditions and falling debris. Here’s an overview.

What are scaffold nets?

Also known as scaffolding nets or scaffold mesh, these nets are used in construction and fixed to the outside of (high) scaffolds. Depending on the version, they prevent debris, small building materials and dust from falling onto public roads or causing nuisance to neighbours. In addition, scaffold nets and tarps improve working conditions on construction sites: they provide workers with some protection from rain and wind. They make working a lot more pleasant and healthy. The nets also let in enough natural light to make artificial lighting normally unnecessary during the day.

Different types of scaffold nets

Scaffold nets serve to keep dust and small objects from falling onto the construction site. Duranet offers 3 basic nets for this purpose, each made of polyethylene fabric.

  • Lightweight knitted scaffold nets weigh 50 g/m2 and block up to 45% of the wind. They come in different sizes and are available from stock in white, green and blue.
  • The finely knitted 100 g/m2 scaffold nets are sturdier and stop about 50% of the wind. These nets are standard available in 2 sizes and 3 basic colours (white, green and blue).
  • Dustproof woven scaffold nets weigh 130 g/m2. These nets are available in 2 sizes, in white and green. They provide wind reduction of about 90%. This makes them ideal for façade renovations and sandblasting, among other things. Their durable, UV-resistant quality means you can use them multiple times. In addition, they also exist in a flame-retardant version (white only).

In addition to the colours listed above, other colours are available upon request.

The different types of scaffold nets are easy to install with cable ties. For this purpose, all nets are equipped with reinforcement strips with eyelets or attachment loops.

Scaffold nets printed with your logo

To best showcase your project, you can also have scaffold nets printed. This can be done both on white, lightweight scaffold nets of 50g/m² and on scaffold nets in UV-stabilised polyethylene tape fabric of 140g/m². The latter are typically finished with a reinforced edge and eyelets, and are available in 8 basic colours on which we then print your text or logo. Printed scaffolding nets can be delivered as a single roll or piece. So you don’t have to order large quantities to create more visibility on your construction site.

Windproof and waterproof scaffold tarpaulins

In a lot of construction projects, a windproof and waterproof tarpaulin comes in handy. The most common windproof and waterproof scaffold tarpaulins consist of two-sided coated polyethylene tape fabric weighing 150 g/m2.

Duranet’s reinforced scaffold tarpaulins weigh about 200 g/m2 and provide long-term protection against all weather conditions. They are made of a polypropylene base fabric with a polyethylene coating. Reinforced tarpaulins also exist in a flame-retardant version according to EN standard 13501-1.

All windproof and waterproof tarpaulins are available in different sizes. They are manufactured in a white/transparent version for maximum translucency.

Fall prevention for persons

Note: scaffold nets and tarpaulins stop dust and small objects, but not people. Fall prevention requires edge protection nets and fall arrest nets.
